David J. Labovitz has been practicing law since 1997 and is licensed in both Florida and Illinois. His practice is focused on real estate transactions, commercial transactions, estate planning and probate, and corporate and business law. David has extensive experience representing both buyers and sellers in all types of commercial and residential real estate transactions. He has represented builders and developers in all aspects of development, from land acquisition through construction and sale. He has taught continuing legal education seminars for attorneys, accountants, and paralegals on the intricacies and tax consequences of 1031 exchanges.
In the realm of foreclosure defense, David has been representing borrowers in foreclosure cases for a number of years. He has been successful in helping homeowners stay in their homes as well as assisting borrowers with loan modifications and other workouts. A large percentage of his current law practice involves counseling borrowers in foreclosure situations as well as defending borrowers against lenders in foreclosure actions. David defends foreclosure cases statewide.
David also has wide-ranging experience counseling businesses on entity formation, asset and stock purchase and sale transactions and on the many ongoing legal issues that companies face on a day-to-day basis. He further assists business owners and individuals with estate planning and business succession planning and has designed estate and succession plans for individuals, families, and businesses with many different asset configurations and levels of net worth. He has also represented families in probate proceedings and both beneficiaries and trust in matters related to trust disputes.

David was born and raised in Miami Beach, Florida. He lives in the Conway area with his wife, Denise, and his two children, Adena and Adam. In his spare time, David enjoys offshore fishing and training for and participating in triathlons.
